My story:

I have worked as a psychotherapist over a 20 year period.  I trained at the Tavistock clinic in  North London which gave me an in-depth clinical and theoretical grounding in psychodynamic psychotherapy.  I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of clients from various backgrounds, each bringing their unique experience and personal challenge to therapy.

My practice  involves addressing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, trauma and other complex psychological issues.  I aim to reach a deep understanding of my client’s mental state and help them overcome psychological obstacles hindering their development, and in turn achieve meaningful progress in their lives.

From a strong foundation of developing expertise in working with young people and parents who are experiencing mental health problems, my practice has evolved to working therapeutically with clients in high-pressure careers.  This includes, for example, supporting mothers returning to high-pressure work environments following maternity leave and  fathers trying to manage home life, demanding careers and the responsibilities that becoming a parent brings.

Whatever the client’s personal context, it is often a case of identifying recurring patterns of behaviour and getting to the source of destructive traits that can exist within a client’s past and present relationships and interactions.  From the beginning of my career in mental health, my unwavering commitment has remained unchanged - to help my clients  improve their mental health and feel more empowered to navigate life’s challenges.
